Mission

Candid’s mission is to get you the information you need to do good.

The world’s problems are only growing, and change can’t wait. Nonprofits are needed now more than ever, but all too often their work goes without adequate support.

Candid makes it easier and faster for nonprofits and funders to connect in pursuit of solutions to change the world. Candid is where nonprofits find grants, donors find nonprofits that inspire them, and all can gain insights about the work being done for good.

How we help

A nonprofit ourselves, we are champions of transparency who believe information is key to driving change in our communities. We offer the highest-quality data on 1.9 million nonprofits in the United States, but we know it can be daunting to find the information that matters. That’s why we don’t just rely on IRS data; we clean the data, make it discoverable, enrich it with data collected directly from organizations, and deliver it in a way that makes it easy to explore and understand.

The vast quantity of data we collect is distributed well beyond our own products, helping nonprofits tell their stories far and wide. Data from Candid powers a network of over 200 giving platforms, corporate giving programs, donor-advised funds, and more to provide the most trustworthy and timely information to those who want to make a difference.

Our vision

We envision a social sector capable of tackling the critical challenges and opportunities of our time. By providing the information we all need to do our part, Candid advances our shared goal to build a better world.
