Amy Marks Dornbusch leverages her diverse background in venture, philanthropy, and creativity to drive impactful change. As Director of the Marks Family Foundation, she champions risk-tolerant grants supporting entrepreneurial solutions in women’s and girls’ issues, disease research, and equitable access to education and the arts. Amy’s philanthropic dedication extends to initiatives like a project in Vietnam, reducing unintended pregnancies among youth (where the abortion rate is the highest in the world), and spearheading the evacuation of Afghan women activists during the Taliban takeover, raising over $7 million. This project was her focus as a member of The Maverick Collective, an initiative co-founded by Melinda Gates, and backed by the global NGO, Population Services International. As Chairwoman of the V Foundation Wine Celebration, she leads the highest grossing charitable wine auction for Cancer Research, which recently raised $21 Million at its 2023 event, culminating in over $160M raised for Cancer Research.

Amy launched AtlasDaughters in 2024, a philanthropic travel venture aimed at mobilizing funds from philanthropists towards vital nonprofits pioneering solutions for women globally. The organization fosters enduring connections among mother-daughter pairs while imparting innovative curriculum on girls’ leadership and philanthropy. The inaugural expedition, co-led by Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, will support an undisclosed circular economic initiative targeting a major ocean pollution contributor in Samoa.

For her family office, Amy serves as General Partner of Willowtree Venture Fund LP, a  portfolio focused on advancing early-stage consumer companies and funds  disrupting all areas of the consumer space including CPG, retail, apparel, dining and  hospitality. Exits have included Código Tequila, Warby Parker, Sufferfest Beer  Company and impact investment d.Light solar home systems.

Amy holds a B.A. from George Washington University and a certification in Effective Philanthropy from Stanford. She is a member of PSI Maverick Collective and Women Moving Millions.
