As Contributing Editor at Candid’s Philanthropy News Digest, Daniel writes on topics as diverse as climate change, medical research, investment in underserved communities, arts funding, and pushing the boundaries of philanthropy. He has interviewed leaders across the philanthropic sector and written dozens of book reviews, often with a lens on philanthropy’s historic past and its lessons for our present.
Before joining the PND staff, Daniel led Candid’s foundation webhosting services, developing websites for more than 250 foundation clients. Daniel holds a BA in history and political science from SUNY Binghamton and is ABD from the College of William & Mary in American history with a focus on international affairs. He is a solidly mediocre marathon runner, a part-time art collector, and a full-time denizen of Brooklyn, New York.
