Justin Benton

Justin Benton is Candid’s knowledge management specialist overseeing Issue Lab. In this role he helps expand Candid’s open access repository of more than 30,000 resources produced by social sector organizations, and guides nonprofits and foundations in sharing the work they fund and produce so that others may learn from and build upon it. His focus is on collecting and preserving knowledge and ensuring that people can access the information they need to do good.

Prior to joining Candid, Justin worked in cataloging and records administration in galleries and auction houses in New York City and Chicago and volunteered at Chicago area museums and research libraries. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Art History from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois with a focus on special collections and digital preservation.
