Kate Meyers Emery, Ph.D.

Kate Meyers Emery, Ph.D., is an anthropologist with over 13 years of experience creating engaging digital experiences both online and in-person. As Candid’s senior digital communications manager, she using uses experimentation and data-driven storytelling to get people the information they need to do good in digital spaces. Kate is one of BizTech’s 30 Must-Follow Nonprofit IT Influencers Worth Following in 2022.

While earning her Ph.D. in Anthropology, Kate undertook a number of digital side projects, from developing social media presences for brands, creating databases, coding websites, crafting mobile applications, and leading the project management for a video game. She loves getting to use digital tools to educate and engage audiences in unexpected ways.

Kate holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Michigan State University, a M.Sc. from University of Edinburgh, and a B.A. from State University of New York at Geneseo.
