Malikah Berry Rogers is the Executive Director of the Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium and brings more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit management with national, local, and quasi-governmental organizations. She has worked across a range of causes, from economic inequality, victim assistance, and domestic violence to volunteerism and philanthropy.

Malikah was previously the Chief Programs Officer for Points of Light, responsible for their overall strategic direction, operational management for economic opportunity, excellence in education, environmental sustainability, emergency preparedness, and response programs that apply the power of volunteer action to make a measurable impact in America’s communities.

Prior to Points of Light, Ms. Berry was the Deputy Director/Development Director for Atlanta Victim Assistance (AVA), the primary victim services provider for the City of Atlanta Municipal Court and the Atlanta Police Department. Earlier in her career, Malikah served as Manager of Executive Affairs for the King Center, the living memorial dedicated to the advancement of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In that role, she shepherded strategic initiatives for the managing director, president/CEO, and founder, Mrs. Coretta Scott King.

Malikah is a writer and her work has been published in journals, magazines, and digital publications. She studied Political Science at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, and Journalism at American University, where she was a Kaiser Family Foundation Health Reporting Fellow.

Malikah and her husband, Leon, are raising their son in Atlanta, Georgia.
