Catherine Williams

As Chief Data Officer, Catherine provides comprehensive leadership for Candid’s data strategy through key external partnerships and internal collaborations. She is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of Candid’s growing role as the leading provider of data and analytics for the social sector. Under Catherine’s guidance, Candid will be well prepared to provide comprehensive, robust, and timely data to enable nonprofits and philanthropic organizations to deliver on their missions and become more efficient, effective, and equitable.

Catherine’s experience includes her most recent role as the Vice President of Data & AI at Qualtrics, where she established the machine learning platform and created the organization’s data science function. She also served as Chief Data Scientist at Xandr, AT&T’s advertising wing, and as Chief Data & Marketplace Officer at AppNexus. Prior to that, she was a postdoctoral fellow at Columbia University and Stanford University.

Catherine holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Washington and a B.S. in mathematics from Grinnell College. She currently resides in Seattle, WA.
