Samantha Barbee

As Candid’s Chief Operating & Financial Officer, Samantha serves as a critical thought partner and advisor to the CEO. She plays a lead role in guiding Candid’s internal operations, providing strategic direction, and implementing best practices to support our ambitious goals. This includes overseeing all aspects of our finance, people, and planning functions to ensure Candid’s continued organizational health and financial stability.

Samantha’s extensive experience and expertise includes her role as the Chief Financial Officer at Pact, an international development organization with 22 offices around the world. Prior to that, she was the Chief Financial and Operations Officer at Cesar Chavez Public Charter School, a three-campus charter school network. She also served as the long-term CFO & EVP of Finance, Administration, and Information Technology at the International Youth Foundation. Earlier in her career, Samantha worked in higher education at Berkeley, including roles as the Director of MBA Student Services and the Associate Director of the Nonprofit and Public Management Program.

Samantha holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA in government from Georgetown University.
